How do I find my unique Ultimate$ code?

Find it in your Athena mobile app! We've also sent it through email and SMS.

Can’t find it? No worries! Send us an email or SMS and we’ll let you know.

If you’ve just settled your Athena home loan, we’ll email and SMS your code within 7 days from your settlement date.

Can I refer as many people as I want?

Yes, absolutely! If you are super popular (which you probably are), there are no limits on the number of customers you can refer to us.

We’ll pay you and your mate the bonus after they settle their first Athena loan – remember, the bonus is paid for the loan so joint borrowers will still get one bonus paid (sharesies!)

Can I refer myself?

Yes! You can use your Ultimate$ code to refer yourself! You might be an existing customer bringing an additional property/ies to Athena. Or you might be a previous customer who discharged your loan due to a property sale and are now coming back to us.

Topping up an existing loan or splitting your loan on the same property doesn’t count. Remember to enter your Ultimate$ code in your application.

When referring yourself you’ll score the full bonus to yourself – both the referrer and referee payments will be coming your way! That’s $500 -nice one!

What's an eligible referral?

If you’re referring a mate, they need to be a new customer that hasn’t settled an Athena loan before. They must submit an application with your Ultimate$ code and go on to settle the loan.

If you’re referring yourself, you need to submit an application for a new loan with Athena – whether you’re refinancing from another lender or setting up a new loan for a property purchase – with your Ultimate$ code, and go on to settle the loan.

Topping up an existing loan or splitting your loan on the same property doesn’t count.

What’s not an eligible referral?

If you’re referring a mate, the referral wouldn’t be eligible if:

  • Your mate is not a new customer; either they’re currently a customer or have settled on an Athena loan before;
  • Your mate has already been referred by you or someone else, or has already submitted an application;
  • There are any discrepancies between the details of the mate you referred and the Athena customer that settled;
  • Your mate didn’t enter your Ultimate$ code in their application

If you’re referring yourself, the referral wouldn’t be eligible if:

  • You’re just changing or topping up an existing loan;
  • You’re splitting a loan for the same property;
  • You’re a previous Athena customer who refinanced to a different lender, and are now refinancing back to Athena;
  • Your application was submitted before 29 September 2022, when our Ultimate$ program was updated to include a Refer Yourself bonus;
  • You didn’t enter your Ultimate$ code in your application

When do I get my Ultimate$ Referral bonus?

Your bonus will be paid directly into your Athena redraw or offset account within 30 days of the eligible loan's settlement date.

Once it’s there, it’s up to you what you do with it; transfer it or keep it in there and pay your loan down faster. For privacy reasons, we can’t disclose the status of your mate’s application but once they settle, we’ll get in touch!

I've run out of family and friends to refer. Can I refer a stranger?

Yes you can! The more the merrier! Here are some ways you can share your code:

  • Share your code on social media – add it to your IG bio or share it on FB!
  • Share your code on forums where you think people will be interested (just make sure you don't break any forum rules)
  • Tattoo on your forehead – no just kidding!
I've referred friends but I didn't get a bonus?

Most of the time this means your friend didn't submit their loan application with your unique code.

Unfortunately, we can only provide the bonus when new customers apply and settle with your unique Ultimate$ code.

I made an eligible referral but haven’t received my bonus.

Your bonus will be paid directly into your Athena redraw or offset account within 30 days of the eligible loan’s settlement date.

For privacy reasons, we can’t disclose the status of your mate’s application but once they settle, we’ll get in touch!

What if I leave Athena? Will my code still be valid?

Your Ultimate$ code will always be yours! You won’t be able to refer mates to Athena if you don’t have an open settled Athena loan.

But if you’ve closed a loan due to a property sale or paid down your loan and decide to come back to Athena, you can use your Ultimate$ code to refer yourself and score the full bonus! Who needs mates, eh?!

Terms and Conditions
Conditions for Referrers (Existing Athena Customers) You must have at least one open settled Athena home loan and hold a valid Ultimate$ code to participate in the Ultimate$ Referral program. As the Referrer, you are eligible for the bonus payment of $250 if the person you refer (the Referee) both i) submits an Athena home loan application using your Ultimate$ code and ii) goes on to settle the loan and therefore becomes an Athena customer.
Conditions for Referees (Your Mate) The mate you are referring, the Referee, must be a new customer that has not settled an Athena home loan before. The Referee is eligible for the bonus payment of $250 if they both i) submit an Athena home loan application using your Ultimate$ code and ii) go on to settle the loan and become an Athena customer.
Conditions for Referring Yourself You may act as both Referrer and Referee, subject to the terms outlined above, and use your Ultimate$ code to refer yourself to Athena. This includes existing Athena customers bringing an additional property/ies to Athena. It also includes customers discharging an Athena home loan due to a property sale or early payout and settling a new Athena home loan for a property purchase. It does not include making changes to or topping up an existing Athena home loan, splitting a loan on the same property or a returning customer who previously closed the Athena home loan due to refinance. You must include your Ultimate$ code in your Athena home loan application. When referring yourself you, as both Referrer and Referee, will be eligible for the bonus payment of $500 if you both i) submit an Athena home loan application using your Ultimate$ code from 1 December 2022 and ii) go on to settle the loan.
Payment of referral bonuses associated with Ultimate$ codes will only be paid on settlement of the Referee's (if referring a mate) or your (if referring yourself) Athena home loan and satisfaction of qualifying criteria as detailed above. Bonus will be paid into parties’ Redraw or Offset account(s) within 30 days of the applicable loan settlement date.
We may at our discretion cancel a bonus payment without notice to you, including under the following circumstances: - We believe any of your access methods are fraudulent, or are suspected of being used in a fraudulent way - Your conduct is in breach of the terms and conditions - We have closed your account - We believe the security or quality of Athena’s products or related services are threatened – Your account is in arrears.
Athena reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the Ultimate$ Referral program or these conditions at any time without notice. We will honour any valid referrals sent to us before we do so. We will not honour any referrals that are deemed by us, in our absolute discretion, to be unreasonable, unlawful, at risk of requiring an Australian Credit Licence or for any other reason we believe are not in the spirit of the Athena Ultimate$ Referral program.
Ultimate$ Codes may be cancelled at any time after they are issued, at our sole discretion. All other Athena Terms & Conditions remain valid and binding on you and are not superseded by these Ultimate$ Referral Offer Terms.
